Wave at CIR

Wave Robotics competed at the Central Illinois Regional.

On Thursday, March 14 Wave competed at the Central Illinois Regional in Peoria. The competition took place over three days consisting of practice and qualifying matches and a double elimination bracket to determine the winning alliance, who would then compete in finals. In spite of several technical challenges with our robot, Tsunami, we were able to overcome them and make it to alliance selections. During selections we were chosen to be in an alliance with teams 5822 Wolfbite and 5847 Ironclad Robotics. Despite a valiant effort and spectacular autos, we were not able to win. However, our team did an exceptional job that was recognized. Wave student Lee Dowdy became a Dean’s List Finalist, and we won the Impact Award advancing us to the Championships in Houston, Texas! Go Wave!
