FIRST Founder Dean Kamen Visits Oshkosh

Wave Robotics Team Welcomes Community to Event Promoting Science and Technology Education

During a visit to EAA's AirVenture 2009, FIRST Robotics Competition Founder Dean Kamen spoke at a community event organized by FRC Team 2826 (Wave Robotics Team). 

The event brought together education, business and community leaders to learn more about the importance of science and technology education.  Students, parents, mentors and volunteers from two FRC teams attended. 

Kamen told the audience that US students are the luckiest in the world, but must get serious about solving the world's most challenging problems. 

The Wave Robotics Team made Kamen an honorary team member.
