Lego League

The Wave Robotics Team has launched six Lego League Teams in the Oshkosh area.

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is an exciting and fun global robotics program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science, and technology in kids ages 9-14.  Each year FLL teams embark on an adventurous Challenge based on current, real-world issues.  Guided by a team coach and assisted by mentors, the kids, research and solve a real-world problems based on the Challenge theme.  The kids present their research and solutions.  They build an autonomous robot using engineering concepts used for the yearly Challenge.  FLL entices kids to think like scientists and engineers and provides a fun, creative, hands-on learning experience.  It teaches kids to experiment and overcome obstacles and builds self-esteem and confidence.  It inspires kids to participate in science and technology.  No matter what the child’s interest, FLL offers an opportunity for engagement. Whether it is by creativity, technology, or research, FLL dares kids to test, explore, expand, or completely change thoughts and approaches for different sciences each year.

Involvement in the Community

The Oshkosh and surrounding communities support us so much, and so, in turn, we like to help out the community in many different ways.  One of the ways we help out is by spreading the education of science and technology through FIRST LEGO League teams. To see other ways that we have impacted our local communities, see our service page.
