Mentor

Mentors play an important - and fun - role on our team!

Wave Robotics Team 2826 Jon Branson

Interested in donating your time to Wave Robotics?

Mentors make up the base for all Wave Robotics functions.  The students involved in FIRST are lost without mentors to help the students along the way.

During pre-season, mentors are encouraged to attend our meetings to help get yourselves known to the students and get involved with the program before any commitment is necessary.

Mentors are encouraged to lead a pre-season meeting in your expertise (Design, Build, Website, etc.), although this is not necessary.

Once the build season starts, mentors are expected to come to build sessions regularly (weekdays) to help the students.

We highly encourage mentors to come along with us to our regional competitions (and hopefully the national competition!)  We generally do not require mentors to attend meetings in the summer.

If you would like more information, or if you would like to become a mentor, please Contact Us.

Looking to Help Out Wave Robotics in Other Ways?

Wave Robotics is dependent on community support.  Without help from the surrounding communities and businesses, we would not have a team.  If you would like to help us on your schedule, become a volunteer at one of our major events.  We could always use more hands, so we really appreciate all the help that we can get.  Learn more about how you can help our team on our volunteer page.
